An extraordinary coin issue has now been produced from a fragment of the Seymchan meteorite, which is a fascinating witness to the origins of our solar system 4.56 billionyears ago. The meteorite iron remained unchanged so it may demonstrate inclusions, corrosion and fine cracks. The mintage is restricted by the rarity of the material. It was only possible to mint 826 coins, making each coin a collector‘s item that is as rare as it is fascinating.

The reverse of the coin depicts a beautiful space view with the Seymchan meteorite impact. The coin is made out of 999 genuine meteorites, and it looks exactly how it should look, with all imperfections, irregular surface, small cracks, kind of scratches and anything else that you find on a meteorite slice: this is the concept of this coin. The coin has an impressive coloration, that makes the image of impact very realistic. All around, a particular background. In the top of the reverse, the inscriptions: “999. Meteorite” – the coin material and “SEYMCHAN” – the name of the coin. The coin’s obverse depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: “NIUE” – the issue country, “2021” – the issue year and “ONE DOLLAR” - the face.
