The 2022 Queen's Beasts - White Lurcher Silver Coin 10 oz is the tenth and final edition of the Queen's Beasts series and contains 10 ounces of 99.99% sterling silver. 10 statues guarded the entrance to Westminster Abbey at Her Majesty's coronation in 1953. These statues were called the "Queen's Beasts" to represent the different bloodlines of the Queen.

On June 2, 1953, Queen Elizabeth II became the thirty-ninth monarch to be crowned at Westminster Abbey. A striking illustration of the royal lineage was the formation of a guard of honour at the entrance by the Queen's animals. The White Lurcher takes its place among them. The white lurcher is agile, keen-eyed, and was bred to chase prey. The dog appeared in England in Roman times and was included in royal hunting parties as early as the twelfth century, enhancing their prestige. In heraldry, the white lurcher is associated with the qualities of health and skill, as well as loyalty and fidelity. Edward III elevated the greyhound to royal status, and all his descendants used the white lurcher as a badge. Before passing to the Tudors, he was closely associated with the Lancaster family. Henry VII, the first monarch of the Tudor dynasty, displayed it to emphasize his dynastic rulership.
