The reverses of the coin features an incredible Ceramic insert in High Relief depicting an ancient Panathenaic amphora. In ancient Greek, this amphora full of olive oil was given as a reward for extraordinary performance, just like nowadays Oscars or medals are given to actors and athletes.
The amphora presents an image in the typical artistic style of ancient Greek, depicting some men running. All around the amphora, a pattern with the classic Greek pattern and the inscriptions: “ANCIENT GREECE – TERRACOTTA” and “PANATHENAIC PRIZE AMPHORA” – the name of the coin.
