2023 Australian Year of the Rabbit Fine Mint Silver Coin 1 oz The fourth gold and silver coin in the Chinese Zodiac series issued by the Perth Mint, Australia, celebrates the next animal in the zodiac, the rabbit.

These finely minted silver coins are issued as a set of three coins, and as individual 1 oz. and 1/2 oz. silver proof coins, depicting the adorable rabbit in an original artistic manner.

Those born in 2023, 2011, 1999, 1987, 1975 and each of the previous 12 years of the Chinese Lunar Year Rabbit are said to be alert, resourceful, quick-witted and ingenious.

Minted from 99.99% pure silver, they are 7,500 1 oz. coins, 5,000 1/2 oz. coins and 2,000 sets of three coins.

The coins are issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965

DESIGN

The reverse of each coin depicts two rabbits in a meadow. One rabbit is sitting and looking to the right, while the other stands on its hind legs, sniffing the sprouting branches above.

The design includes the Chinese character "Rabbit" with the inscription "RABBIT 2023" and the Perth Mint's "P" logo.

The obverse of each coin depicts a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II's Jody Clark, the weight and purity, and the currency denomination.

PRESENTATION

Each coin and set of three coins comes in a classic presentation box with an outer package depicting the story of how the rabbit became an animal of the zodiac, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
