The reverse of each coin shows a beautiful and detailed close up of the Kookaburra, the large Australian bird that lives in trees and makes a strange sound like a person laughing. One coin presents a front facing Kookaburra ennobled with black Platinum on the beak and white Rhodium on the chest feathers, the other coin presents a right-looking bird with the beak partially Gold plated. The reverse of each coin also includes the inscriptions: “5 OZ .999 AG” – the weight of the coin and the fineness of the Silver and “HAUT-RELIEF”.
