In this piece, the Chinese Dragon rises from the surface with impressive detail, a realistic image that is brought to life through a distinct 3D feel. Surrounding the legendary creature are intricate motifs of smaller dragons that lay against the mandala pattern.
The pattern itself is an outstanding piece of work, its design is drawn with inspiration from the caisson ceilings of the Forbidden City. This lattice pattern was only used in important Chinese buildings such as palaces and temples due to its complexity in design and execution.
